This is honestly the coolest foam roller I've ever used. I love rolling- I could roll all day. I usually bring a lacrosse ball with me because a foam roller is just not feasible to bring around. This foam roller uses something like 3-D printing and so it meshes well when you push in to make it smaller or opens into a cool pattern. I was a bit nervous because the gaps could catch onto my hair but surprisingly it wasn't really any issue because the material at the end is softer and doesn't catch easy. You don't also necessary need to pull the entire thing open unless you want a uniform gap because your body parts that you roll won't be impacted. I love the durability, material and uniqueness of this foam roller. I can't wait to take it everywhere I go.

This collapsible foam roller comes with a carrying bag and a resistant band as bonus gift. The foam roller isn't made of foam but plastic and rubber, so it's a bit heavier than the traditional foam roller, but its compact size more than make up for the extra weight. The roller feels very sturdy and works great as roller. I especially like its collapsible design so when collapsed it's no larger than a lunch box, making it very portable. Extending and collapsing the roller is very easy, just hold on to the handle on either side of the dirt and just pull/push. The bonus resistant band is a nice touch. Overall very happy with this collapsible foam roller that can be carried with me easily everywhere.

I was originally a little apprehensive when I zoomed in on the photos of this collapsible foam roller as I thought the raised edges might be a little hard on my back. I also have a foam roller purchased from Costco which is softer, longer, but has higher raised edges and the two are quite comparable.The JackedApe foam roller collapses to a height of 5.2", extends to a length/height of 13.8" and also comes with a nice cloth storage bag. As a bonus there was also an included red therapy bad which is useful for exercises while using the roller.Prices of foam rollers seem to vary and it seems to be competitively priced. I would imagine you can purchase a non collapsible roller for less but with the JackedApe you do get the product shipped to your door and save on storage space. Depending on the types of exercises you use your foam roller for this may be wide enough but I can still see a use case for some of the wider rollers.I do like the carrying handle built into the ends of the foam roller and for me I expect to basically replace my full size roller. As mentioned in a few other reviews the collapsing/expansion mechanism isn't perfect so you may have to shift some of the raised points a bit but it isn't a huge lift.If space is limited and you don't need a roller that is longer than 13.8" long I would recommend giving this a shot. Given the space savings and portability this is something that will keep your space looking cleaner and can easily be tossed in a backpack or suitcase if you need to bring a roller with you.

Pros:- Smart design and surprisingly well made. Feels sturdy in hand, and the open/close mechanism actually works quite well- Surprisingly rigid body offers a reasonably firm foam roller experienceCons:- Not as much raised texture as I would've liked on the outside of this roller, but this is a limitation imposed by the portability of thisOverall:I was quite impressed with this foam roller. I was somewhat skeptical of the collapsible design, but it honestly works really well! Despite the collapsible design, it still offers a surprising amount of rigidity and as a result, a fairly firm rolling experience. I do wish there could be more raised textures no the surface of the roller, but this is ultimately a limit of the collapsible design. For the money, this is an overall great option if you want to be able to foam roll on the go.

This massager pillow is pretty cool. It compresses nice and small for storage. To use it you just pull it apart to expand it to full size. It feels weird but so does the foam back pillow I use at physiotherapy. This one when expanded is nice and firm and stable. It comes with a little carry bag to store it when not in use.

This adjustable roller from JackedApe is a great idea. It not only takes up a quarter of the size as a standard roller but with it being adjustable it’s like having multiple rollers.You can use it in its compact form for spots like your neck. Pulling it out slightly for spots like your arm, leg, shoulders and fully expand for general use. It also cam with a drawstring bag and a tension band and a gift.Using a roller always comes with some caution. However, I would caution as with this one’s lightening bolt pattern could aggravate a spot more than help if you lean on it too hard/wrong way. It does also stick being adjustable and you could have to close it and re open it to get it to be even.All in all, it’s a nice roller that is going to get some good use. I've seen and tried this product before from another brand and thought perhaps JackedApe made some changes to this collapsible foam roller, but no it is identical as the other ones that look the same. Considering the previous one reviewed was far cheaper but without the extra fitness band, I don't think this one represents the best value... assuming more sellers put this same/similar product up for sale (currently this seems to be the only one left as of writing).The main thing going for this roller is the collapsible nature of it, which not only makes it more portable but also allows you to use a narrower roller is you need that. Because of the collapsible design, it will also be heavier than a standard foam roller. It is really sturdy though. I wouldn't recommend dropping it or anything like that, but it certainly won't bend or break under normal use.This stiffness is a pro and a con. Namely when paired with the TPU (instead of EPP or PU foam) pads it makes a really hard roller. This means it makes a great massage but will take quite a bit of getting used to. It also means it is better suited for large muscles instead of say the back where your spine can certainly feel itself mashed against the roller. But boy after a hard workout it can feel great. Is it better than a smaller diameter knobby PU foam roller? Not really; with that respect the portability would be this one's selling point.So overall it is a practical but slightly less versatile roller. If you want something that hits harder, this would be a good choice though if you don't have the space for a smaller diameter knobby roller.

I wanted this because I had a foam roller and it took so much space in my living room. I liked that fact that you can store it anywhere as it becomes so small plus you can use it on your calf’s easier by making it smaller. It is easy to pull out with the handles on the side and then push back. The look is also very sleek and it does the job, my back felt very stretched and opened after using it. The cute little free gift of the band was a pleasant surprise, small business really do care. The only con I have is that this hurts, the material is good quality but it is not foamy enough. So it actually hurt me the first time I used it and was hard to use for the first time as I am used to actually foam and not plastic hard rollers. But honestly after using it a few time my body started getting used to it and it doesn’t feel that hard. I think it would be great if they made it a bit more softer. But overall this is great for the price and works extremely well!

I love how compact this roller is when compressed. It takes up much less than a quarter of the space compared to when it is open, and I find that this hasn’t affected sturdiness (I’m a little over 200lbs, no concerns). It doesn’t have as much texture as some rollers, but I prefer that as the other one I have hurts my back, this one does not. I also like that it comes with a carry back, and even a little surprise stretch band!

The JackedApe roller was very interesting, with its capability to collapse down. As my kid is in competitive swimming, they regularly take foam rollers to various completions. The regular rollers are about 2 feet in length and usually cannot fit in a backpack. The JackedApe collapses down to about 10 inches and can easily fit into a backpack! GREAT FEATURE! Upon opening the box, you will find the roller, tension band and instructions.Once you expand the roller, its the same size as normal rollers and just as sturdy! It gives a great massage to help with sore muscles and move the lactic acid out of the system for recovery.5/5 stars for a great roller that has a the ability to collapse and fit into a backpack for easy transport!
